Gentle Rain From Heaven - Harp
The title, “Gentle Rain From Heaven,” is a reference to a quote from Shakespeare: “The quality of mercy is not strained; it droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven upon the place beneath; it is twice blest - It blesseth him that gives and him that takes…” . And so it is that we have been blessed by all the people we have had the opportunity to play for over the years. The sound of the harp reminds us of gentle raindrops on a windowpane. This CD is a collection of tunes which are meant to bring comfort and serenity to the listener. Celtic songs, hymns, and lullabies will help you to let go and deeply relax. Sometimes people release tension or fear in the form of tears. It is our tears which can help us to open and heal. Our wish for you is that the resonant and healing sound of the harp may bring softening to the ground of your being and deep peace to the depth of your soul.
Water From The Well - Harp, Cello, Native Flute, Wind Chimes, Vocals
We chose the title “Water From The Well” for this recording as a “well” is a feminine symbol associated with life as pilgrimage. The “well” also signifies contemplation and salvation. Water is symbolic of flowing life and intuitive wisdom. In our training and work as therapeutic harp practitioners, we continue to plumb our own depths for this “water of life”. In anointing patients with the gentle sound of the harp over the past nine (9) years, we have experienced the gift of “presence” (coming fully into the present moment) and “peace“. It is this deep peace which is carried on the tones of the harp to bring comfort and rest to those little ones who are entering life, to those who are ill, and to those who are journeying onward. This CD is a collection of original songs from our own depths, old lullabies and some familiar contemplative melodies.
Ancient Chants and Hymns -
We hope to create this CD in the near future. We will include ancient chants from Greece. We will also include Jewish and Islamic melodies, medieval monastic chants, and beloved old hymns as well as contemporary songs of faith. (Instrumental)
